ROMOFLEX- ITC- 20181132 Low-cost Robotic Mobile Platform for flexible and reconfigurable order picking.

Elimco Aerospace participates in this project for the development of a low-cost Robotic Mobile Platform for flexible and reconfigurable order picking in Andalusia.

The main objective is to develop a functional prototype that responds to the handling needs present in a Lean manufacturing environment, and serves as a incursion into the context of Industry 4.0 and the digitalisation of the company.

The project will have a solution studied for the needs of Elimco Aerospace and tested under its specifications, where the capabilities of the PMR can be exploited to the maximum, both from the point of view of connectivity (Softcrits) and from the point of view of the product (mobile platform – Synersight and manipulator robot – DGH).

The project initiative was promoted within the framework of the needs presented by companies in the field of autonomous systems, resulting in the expansion of new lines of business and the opening of new markets. Highlighting, inside the sector, the technological innovations of robotised mobile platforms (PMR).

Therefore, Romoflex seeks to find solutions to the social challenge R7: Economy and digital society, favouring the ICT sector in Andalusia and Castilla y León, achieving an innovative outcome in robotics, artificial vision systems and connectivity 4.0 in highly organised production lines that undoubtedly constitute a set of solutions for the industries of the future.

All this, through the fulfilment of several objectives:

  • To unite the existing synergies between the capacities of the different partners, to use them in the generation of an innovative prototype of PMR with high added value.
  • To contribute significantly to the strengthening of participating industries and the creation of businesses in emerging areas through the transfer of the knowledge generated.

In this way, inside this situational framework, the Romoflex technological consortium carried out validation tests at the headquarters of two of the partners participating in the project, both in relevant environments.

The first at the DGH facilities in Boecillo (Valladolid) and the last at the headquarters of Elimco Aerospace, bringing the project to a successful conclusion after the validation of different items in relevant environments.

To conclude, we would like to congratulate all the participating partners for the development and finalisation of the project, as well as our teams of professionals who have participated in this innovative milestone. Achieving, not only to continue growing in the field of technology and innovation, but also to unify the bases of collaboration, as well as to strengthen alliances in the Andalusia-Castilla y León industrial fabric.

¡Congratulations!
